Doctor Honoris Causa - Nick Talbot

Next 26th of January at 1:30h the University of Alicante is going to give the mention of DoctorHonoris Causa (DHC) to Nick Talbot.

Nicholas José Talbot is currently Professor of Molecular Genetics and Deputy Vice-
Chancellor of the University of Exeter. Nick’s research is focused on plant diseases and, in

particular, he has contributed significantly to our understanding of the most important disease
of rice, called blast disease. Nick has authored more than 150 scientific papers. He is
currently an ERC Advanced Investigator, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology (FRSB), a
Member of EMBO, a Member of the Academia Europaea, and Fellow of the Royal Society
(FRS).
